Private Car Tours: Inverness, The Best of Highland History and Scenery

Hi, I’m Cath – born and bred in Inverness, and your qualified local guide for a full-day Highland driving tour. I’ll take you through castles, ancient sites, Loch Ness and some of the most powerful landscapes in Scotland.

Before we set off, you can choose between Cawdor Castle with its beautiful gardens or Fort George, one of Europe’s best-preserved fortresses (seasonal opening times apply). We’ll visit a 4,000-year-old chambered cairn made famous by Outlander, pass through historic Clan Fraser lands, and stop at Culloden Battlefield, where I’ll share the story of the 1746 battle and my own family connections.

We’ll then follow the shores of Loch Ness for views of Urquhart Castle and a Nessie-spotting photo stop, visit Drumnadrochit, explore Beauly Priory, and finish with a whisky tour and tasting at Ord Distillery. A true Highland experience, guided by a local.
